Arid Lands Development Organization (ALDO) is a non-profit, non-governmental
organization legally registered and operating with a primary mandate to design,
implement, and scale sustainable community-led development frameworks within Arid
and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs). ALDO is mandated to bridge the gap between
emergency humanitarian relief and long-term climate-resilient development. By
leveraging Water engineering, climate-smart agriculture, environmental conservation,
and social development, the organization empowers marginalized communities,
pastoralist, and agro-pastoralist communities to achieve socio-economic self-reliance
and environmental security
